Solutions for Every Stage of Menopause
An estimated 75 million women in the U.S. are in perimenopause, menopause, or postmenopause. Each year, 8 to 10 million women experience symptoms ranging from hot flashes and night sweats to sleep disruption, bone and heart health concerns, urinary tract issues, and metabolic changes. Despite affecting more than half the population, menopause is still underdiagnosed and undertreated.
That gap presents a major opportunity for innovation. This Women’s Health Month, we’re highlighting four ingredients designed to support women across every stage of menopause and address some of the most common health concerns associated with this transition.

The Three Stages of Menopause:
Perimenopause: The transition leading up to menopause, often beginning in a woman’s 40s as estrogen levels gradually decline. This phase can last several years and is when symptoms like irregular periods, hot flashes, sleep disruption, and mood changes often begin.
Menopause: Officially diagnosed after 12 consecutive months without a menstrual period. During this stage, estrogen production drops significantly and ovulation stops.
Postmenopause: The stage following menopause. While some symptoms may improve, lower estrogen levels can continue to impact bone, heart, metabolic, and urinary tract health, making ongoing nutritional support increasingly important.

Black Cohosh: Symptom Relief
An estimated 75–85% of women experience vasomotor symptoms like hot flashes and night sweats during menopause. Black Cohosh has been widely used in traditional medicine to help regulate the frequency and intensity of these symptoms, offering targeted, non-hormonal relief.

Fenuflakes: Digestive & Metabolic Support
Hormonal changes in menopause can impact blood sugar regulation, especially for women with diabetes risk factors. Fenuflakes® helps increase protein and fiber intake while lowering the glycemic index of foods and supporting a healthy gut microbiome.

Cranberry: Urinary Tract Health
Postmenopausal women face a higher risk of urinary tract infections. Cranberry is a clinically supported ingredient for urinary tract health, thanks to its unique A-type proanthocyanidins (PACs), which help prevent bacteria from adhering to the urinary tract lining. A U.S. Qualified Health Claim links daily intake of 500 mg of 100% cranberry to a reduced risk of recurrent UTIs. Cranberry also offers additional benefits for gastric and heart health.

WholeCal®: Bone Health & Mineral Support
Estrogen decline accelerates bone loss and increases fracture risk in menopausal women. Almost 80% of people suffering from osteoporosis are women, nearly 1 in 4 women over the age of 65. Made from 100% marine algae, WholeCal® delivers highly bioavailable calcium, magnesium, and other essential nutrients to support bone density, joint flexibility, healthy teeth, and overall skeletal health.
